Craig's List Raleigh -- Out of Control

Have you tried to search on Craig's List Raleigh lately?

The categories are a mess.  The For Sale By Owner section is full of Brokers & Real Estate Ads.  All sections seem to be filled with spam, duplicate ads or obviously mis categorized posts.  I even found a woman seeking a roommate in the For Sale by Owner Section.  There are homes for sale in the Broker Section that are under contract or just flat out not for sale.

If you are an Agent/Firm or Broker post your ad or postlet in the right category.

I am tired of calling a number labeled OWNER to find out its Real Estate Company. Clicking the link for more pictures and being directed right to an agent site. COME ON THAT'S BLANTANT MISUSE

I understand that a FSBO may re-use a virtual tour or slide show. If you are a broker -Be Real- Post your new listing in the Real Estate Broker Section - If you are a Broker selling your own home -- SAY SO--

I know the economy is tough and everyone is trying to save money.  But don't be SHADY. Come on - Act Right. If a potential Buyer calls and finds out it's really a Broker - don't you think they will be "on guard".  Don't you think that this enforces a negative perception of Real Estate Agents?

Craig's List is a great site.  Online classifieds really are a great choice for the low budget or no budget. Many small business and individuals benefit legitimately from Craig's List. Stop taking advantage of this free service.  The more messy and disorganized this site gets the less people will use it. - Eventually users will not be willing to dig through the mountain of junk.

$$$$ There are FINES for misuse of Craig's List!!! $$$$$$

I don't know about you but I don't have an extra $10,000 lying around.

Check Your "Gut Feeling"

Do you really know your Buyer or Seller?  With these ever changing economic times be ready to change your game plan.    Everyone has been taught "Don't  judge a book by its cover". Is you previous experience hurting you? Are you too set in you ways or assumptions?

Susan Boyle is the perfect example. Simon & the other Judges of British talent show thought they had her pegged the moment she walked on stage-- The truth is blew them away. I am sure Susan will be a success in some area of the music industry, despite the first impression.

Personal assumptions  may cause  a negative feeling about a buyer/seller - when the truth was the exact opposite.  Be careful not to act on your first impression you may alienate a potential new client.

Persons you may have think "won't qualify" may turn out to be financially stable.  The "nervous buyer" may purchase the first home you show.  A Seller may appear to be rich & sucessful but is truly upside down.  Be ready for anything and retrain your "gut feelings" about today's buyers & sellers!!

Talk To Me-- Have you had a Buyer or Seller blow you away???  Post it -- We all could learn from it!!!
